A resident of Victoria, Jack Bowman was executive director of the Pacific Coast Curling Association and Curl BC’s competition director before being elected to the Canadian Curling Association board of governors. He first served the sport in British Columbia as a club representative to the PCCA in 1997 and spent two terms as president in 2001 and 2002.
Elected to the CCA’s board in 2006, Bowman served as chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and of the Appointment Recommendation Committee and was a working member of the Governance Joint Working Committee. In addition to being association chair in 2011, Bowman was a member of the CCA International Committee.
An avid curler, Bowman has played in senior man’s and masters’ championships at regional and provincial levels on several occasions and had dedicated many hours as a seminar facilitator for the CCA’s Business of Curling program.
