In the lead-up to the 2025 Scotties®’ Tournament of Hearts®, Kruger Products, Canada’s leading paper manufacturer, will extend its impact in the sport of curling as the newly announced presenting partner of Curling Canada’s Girls Rock program—proudly supported by Scotties®’, Canada’s #1 facial tissue brand[1].

Girls Rock is dedicated to creating welcoming opportunities for girls to explore their social, mental, and physical development through sport. This two-year partnership with Kruger Products, aimed at advancing inclusivity and gender equity in curling, will debut at the 2025 Scotties®’ Tournament of Hearts® in Thunder Bay, Ont.

Curling Canada and Kruger Products have been working together for over 40 years, marking the longest partnership of any sporting event in the country. This partnership exemplifies their shared, long-standing commitment to supporting women in curling and advancing gender equity in sport.

Kruger Products’ commitment to gender equity

Kruger Products, which serves Canadians with leading brands such as Cashmere®, Purex®, Scotties®’, SpongeTowels®, and Bonterra™, is committed to helping build a more equitable and inclusive future for the next generation of Canadians. Highlighted by its support of the Girls Rock program through its Scotties®’ facial tissue brand, Kruger Products aims to make curling more accessible, inclusive, and equitable for young girls across Canada.

As the title sponsor of the Scotties®’ Tournament of Hearts® for over 40 years, Kruger Products has played a vital role in advancing equity at the national elite level and showcasing countless strong female role models and leaders. The launch of the Scotties®’ Tournament of Hearts® itself marked a revolutionary shift in the visibility and respect afforded to women’s curling and has been helping women in curling achieve their dreams ever since.

Through its involvement in Girls Rock, Kruger Products continues to extend both its advocacy for equal opportunities and its commitment to meaningful investments for girls and women in sport. Kruger Products’ support will help inspire a new generation of young girls to take up curling and confidently pursue their aspirations on and off the ice.

“At Kruger Products, we are proud to extend our longstanding partnership with Curling Canada and our support for curling by championing programs like Girls Rock, which align with our commitment to creating healthy, happy communities through sport,” said Susan Irving, CMO of Kruger Products. “Empowering young athletes strengthens the future of curling while building confidence and resilience—skills that extend far beyond the rink. Initiatives like Girls Rock are essential to making sports more inclusive and representative, and we’re honoured to play a part in this important mission.”

Girls Rock is designed to inspire young girls in their approach to participation and personal fulfillment in sport. This female-led, female-participation, free-of-cost, try-curling experience was developed for girls aged 9 to 16 and introduces them to curling in a positive, empowering environment.

The program’s goal is to challenge and reshape young girls’ perceptions of their limitations, helping them recognize the wide range of possibilities available to them through sport.

In addition to boosting mental and physical health, sport helps girls develop friendships, gain confidence, and build leadership skills. Girls Rock will help to develop the next generation of athletes and play a key role in addressing gender inequities in sport.

“This partnership solidifies our position to amplify the uplifting power of the Girls Rock program,” said Brodie Bazinet, Senior Manager, Philanthropy & Youth Impacts at Curling Canada. “The consistent brand alignment with the Scotties®’ Tournament of Hearts® offers exceptional visuals and tangible examples for young girls to witness and embrace the positive impacts of participation in sport.”
