AGI, Curling Canada extend partnership three more years

A company that plays a vital role in agriculture and the infrastructure of food storage and distribution around the world has re-affirmed its support of Curling Canada and one of its flagship events, it was announced today.

Winnipeg-based Ag Growth International (AGI) will maintain its exclusive position as the presenting sponsor of the Montana’s Brier through to the 2027 event — a position it has held since joining the Curling Canada family in 2019.

The 2025 Montana’s Brier, presented by AGI, is scheduled for Feb. 28-March 9 at Prospera Place in Kelowna, B.C.

In addition to its position as a presenting sponsor, AGI also will continue its popular AGI Top Shots promotion, in which fans get to vote for their favourite shots at the Montana’s Brier.

“AGI is proud to continue its support of the Montana’s Brier and Curling Canada,” said David Postill, Senior Vice President, AGI Digital and Global Marketing for AGI. “Curling has deep roots in rural communities and provinces across Canada. We recognize and celebrate the important role the sport and agriculture play in bringing people together — from farm to table  —  in teamwork, collaboration, and mutual understanding.”

AGI is a provider of the equipment and solutions required to support the efficient storage, transport, and processing of food globally. AGI maintains operations in Canada, the United States, Brazil, India, France, and Italy and distributes its product worldwide.

“Our partnership with AGI continues to thrive and grow, and we’re truly pleased to see that it will continue doing so for another three years,” said Nolan Thiessen, Chief Executive Officer of Curling Canada. “Their support of the Montana’s Brier, our oldest and most storied property is one of ambition and passion. Their support will help us grow the event experience and will benefit curlers and curling fans for years to come.”
