Canada strong!

Canada maintains a perfect record at the 2025 World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship
On Thursday, Team Canada had another high-scoring game, winning 11-1 over Team Poland at the 2025 World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Stevenston, Scotland.
Ina Forrest (Spallumcheen, B.C.) and Mark Ideson (London, Ont.) only faced one opponent on Day 3 of the round robin and kept their impressive three-game streak of double-digit scores on the scoreboard.
“We’ve put ourselves in a good position for the playoffs this week, and we’re continuing to learn the ice,” said Ideson. “There are some tricky spots out there and some tricky rocks, but we’re finding our way through it and really looking forward to a two-game day tomorrow.”
The top two seeds of each pool will head to the playoffs, and the two best third-place teams will also advance based on the Draw Shot Challenge.
Team Canada heads into the final day of round robin on Friday in a great position to qualify for playoffs with an impressive 4-0 record. Team Canada and Team South Korea are the only two teams who remain undefeated, and both are in first place in their respective pools.
Canada immediately set the pace in the first end when Ideson’s last rock was a finesse shot through a port to steal two. In the third end, Canada maintained momentum with a five-point end after three well-placed draws by Forrest.
The Polish power play could not crack the Canadian strength in the fourth end, and Canada was able to continue building its lead with a steal of one, then two more in the fifth and one in the sixth before the game was conceded.
On Friday, Canada will take on Team Latvia (2-2) at 5:30 a.m. and Team Denmark (2-2) at 12:30 p.m. (all times Eastern).
All games will be available to watch live on the Curling Channel.
