UNIVERSITY AND COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIPS PREVIEW!

2025 U SPORTS/CCAA Curling Canada Championships start Monday in southern Alberta
The stage is set this week for the country’s top university and college men’s and women’s curlers as they vie for national titles at the U SPORTS/CCAA Curling Canada Championships.
The event takes place Feb. 24-28 at the Lethbridge Curling Club. While Lethbridge is no stranger to major curling events, it’s the first time the city has hosted the Canadian post-secondary championships.
For the CCAA, defending men’s champion Humber Hawks (skip Jacob Dobson) will look to repeat last year’s success, while the defending women’s champion Concordia Thunder (skip Gabrielle Wood) has the chance to three-peat as gold medallists.
For U SPORTS, the University of Regina Cougars men’s team (skip Joshua Bryden) aims to stay golden and defend its title. But a new face will emerge victorious from the women’s side, as the four-time defending champion University of Alberta Golden Bears failed to qualify for nationals after a fourth-place finish at the Canada West Curling Championships.
