2026 U-15 RockFest Dates and Locations Confirmed

As the 2025 RockFest events kick off this month, the excitement is already building for the four 2026 U-15 RockFest regional events announced by Curling Canada today.

The U-15 RockFest, with its strategic blend of training and competition, is a one-of-a-kind program that offers young athletes the chance to develop their skills and compete in various singles and triples curling formats against peers from neighbouring provinces and territories.

The event aims to provide young curlers with the skills necessary to become well-rounded players in all strategy and technical development aspects. The goal is for young athletes to acquire the tools needed to achieve their maximum potential, whether they pursue a competitive path in the sport or play recreationally.

As the events evolve, so too does the qualification process. In the 2024-25 season, 11 U-15 RockFest in-person qualification events occurred across seven Member Associations.

“We are delighted to see the growth of the age and stage-appropriate U-15 RockFest regional events,” said Curling Canada’s Manager of Youth Development & Programming, Dustin Mikush. “Together with all five host curling centres and host Member Associations, we are excited to deliver these impactful skill development events, and we know these young athletes will have a fun, memorable experience in 2026.”

Curling Canada, in conjunction with its Member Associations, will run four regional events in 2026, with youth having the opportunity to train and compete at one of the following events:

U-15 RockFest East
Dixie Curling Club | Mississauga, Ont.
Jan. 22-24, 2026
72 curlers from Northern Ontario, Nunavut, Ontario and Quebec

U-15 RockFest Prairies
Moose Jaw Curling Centre | Moose Jaw, Sask.
Feb. 20-22, 2026

Mississauga’s event will be held in conjunction with the opening weekend of the 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, allowing the curlers opportunities to compete and watch Canada’s best women’s curlers at the national championship.

The 2026 U-15 RockFest West kicks off alongside the 2026 BKT Tires World Women’s Curling Championship opening weekend in Calgary, providing ample opportunities to learn from and watch the best women’s team compete for the world championship next season.

“Curling Alberta is thrilled to partner with Curling Canada to bring the U-15 RockFest West to the Calgary Curling Club during the opening weekend of the BKT Tires World Women’s Curling Championship,” said Jill Groves, Executive Director of Curling Alberta. “This event provides an incredible opportunity for young curlers to develop their skills, connect with their peers, and be inspired.”

Curling Canada will host a U-15 RockFest regional event in Prince Edward Island for the first time.

“Curl PEI is proud to team up with Curling Canada to host the U-15 RockFest Atlantic on Prince Edward Island,” said Amy Duncan, Executive Director of Curl PEI. “This event is a fantastic opportunity for young curlers to build their skills, connect with fellow athletes, and be inspired by the sport. We’re thrilled to have both the Cornwall Curling Club and the Crapaud Community Curling Club involved in making this experience unforgettable.”

Curlers can qualify for the event through their local Member Association by completing a variety of shots and input their results into Curling Canada’s app, “Singles Curling,” on iOS and Android.

The top curlers from each Member Association will receive an invitation to their regional event based on available quotas.

Curlers must be between ages 11 and 14 as of June 30, 2025.
