Career Opportunity: Club Manager

The Barrie Curling Club, Ontario

The Barrie Curling Club (BCC) is a not for profit, member based, community curling club.

Our facility has seven well-maintained sheets of ice; two large viewing areas; locker rooms; a comfortable and inviting upstairs club lounge; bar; catered kitchen; and a curling shop. We pride ourselves on welcoming all members of the community. We have the amenities to offer our 500+ members and guests a total curling experience, from our immersive Learn-to-Curl program, Special Olympic, juniors, and competitive and social leagues to our industrial league and weekend bonspiels. BCC also offers a quality facility for renters. Our curling programs run both days and evenings, as well as weekend activities. We offer programs to fit all age groups and experience levels.

The BCC is looking for a full-time Club Manager to manage the business operations and facilities of the BCC. During the curling season, October to April, there is an expectation of increased availability, including evenings and weekends. During the off-curling season, the Manger will be responsible for all summer activities. The Manager will be expected to manage their own schedule, as needs dictate, allow for flexible hours and conduct some work from home.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established, quality curling organization. The Club Manager is critical to our operations, managing the Club and facility operations and being the key point of contact with members and the community.
