Tickets becoming scarce for 2024 Scotties in Calgary

The gold-medal game is already standing room only, and other scheduled draws are approaching the same status three weeks before the opening day of the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Calgary.

Scheduled for Feb. 16-25 at the WinSport Event Centre in Calgary, the 2024 Scotties, which will decide the Canadian women’s curling championship, is proving to be a hot ticket, and fans will need to act quickly if they want to watch Canada’s best women’s curling teams do battle live and in person.

Full-event packages, as well as packages for the opening and closing weekends are no longer available, and it’s single-draw ticket sales only for the first six and final six of the 24 scheduled draws at the WinSport Event Centre, which will have a capacity of a little over 3,100 for the Scotties.

There are already plans in place for an overflow crowd for the gold-medal game on Feb. 25 to have a viewing party in the Original 16 Patch starting at 6 p.m. (all times Mountain), where viewers will enjoy Happy Hour prices!

Prices for single-draw tickets range from $20.24 to $59, depending on the draw and seat selection. Seats are being held back for friends and family of the competing teams, which are being decided over the next two weeks (scores and streaming information for provincial and territorial championships can be found by CLICKING HERE).

In addition to the games, response to the other events related to the 2024 Scotties has been enthusiastic, including youth and school engagement programs.

In fact, with Family Day scheduled for Feb. 19, there will be affordable options for entire families to be able to watch the Scotties in person. The first 500 kids through the gates on Family Day will receive an iconic Calgary white cowboy hat, thanks to the support of Tourism Calgary.

As well, the Pharmasave Pancake Breakfast will take place in the Patch on Family Day, starting at 11:30 a.m., and the first 300 kids will get a free pancake breakfast (regular price is $10).

Youth game tickets are just $5 for all preliminary-round draws and $15 for playoff draws.

The full schedule will be completed after all 18 competing teams have been declared, but some matchups featuring pre-qualified teams have already been set, including a showdown between the four-time defendinv champion Team Canada foursome skipped by Kerri Einarson and Team Alberta (which will be decided on Sunday) on Feb. 18 at 1:30 p.m.

Another big game is scheduled for Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. when Team Rachel Homan of Ontario takes on Team Jennifer Jones of Manitoba.
