Women in Curling

Coaches Rock

Join us on Feb. 16, at the Port Arthur Curling Club, for a FREE, female-only event, in a safe and supportive environment!

Date: Saturday, February 15, 2025
Time: 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET
Location:  Port Arthur Curling Club, Thunder Bay, ON

A recent gender equity in coaching survey revealed that female coaches lack confidence in their coaching skills related to delivery, brushing and performance analysis. Project Confidence is intended to create a safe and welcoming environment for female coaches to learn from female coaches (National Team Program Coaches, Master Coach Developers, High-Performance Athletes).

Coaches can expect to learn about the latest delivery and brushing techniques and performance analysis skills and technology aids and how to teach to athletes of all ages and stages.  Coaches will have an opportunity to practice skills learned under the supervision of female facilitators.
