Tickets now available for Mixed Doubles Trials in Liverpool on Road to 2026
Dreams of Olympic gold are getting more vivid with the announcement that tickets go on sale today for the 2025 Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials Dec. 30-Jan. 4 in Liverpool, N.S.
It’s the first stop on the Road to 2026 — a series of three major events taking place in Nova Scotia that will decide Canada’s mixed doubles and four-player nominated teams for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan/Cortina, Italy.
The Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials will take place at Queens Place Emera Centre in Liverpool, and will decide the first team that will be eligible to compete in Italy.
The Road to 2026 will continue in the fall of 2025 with the Canadian Pre-Trials, Oct. 21-26 at the Andrew H. McCain Arena in Wolfville, N.S., where the final women’s and men’s teams will be decided for the 2025 Canadian Curling Trials.
And those Trials, which will decide Canada’s four-player teams, will be the final stop on the Road to 2026, and will take place Nov. 22-30 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
Once the Trials winners are declared in mixed doubles and four-player formats, they will be formally nominated to the Canadian Olympic Committee to compete at the 2026 Olympics.
Canada still needs to qualify to compete in all three disciplines at the Olympics, but is in good position to do so based on results this past season.
Five of the 16 teams are now known for the Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials, and tickets to attend those Trials go on sale today. Tickets are available online at www.curling.ca/2025mixeddoublestrials/tickets and in person at the Queens Place Emera Centre box office.
The following ticket options are available (prices include all taxes and service fees):
- Round-robin single-draw tickets for $12.95
- Playoff single-draw tickets for $23.45
- Day passes for all draws Dec. 30-Jan. 2 for $36.70
- Day passes for playoff draws Jan. 3-4 for $39
- Full-event passes for $203.50
The qualifying process for the Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials was announced last summer, and it has produced the first five entries:
- Kadriana Lott and Colton Lott (Winnipeg Beach, Man.)
- Laura Walker and Kirk Muyres (Edmonton/Humboldt, Sask.)
- Jocelyn Peterman/Brett Gallant (Chestermere, Alta.)
- Nancy Martin/Steve Laycock (Martensville, Sask.)
- Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Horseshoe Valley, Ont.)
Three more teams will earn trips to Liverpool coming out of Direct-Entry qualifying events:
- Oct. 31-Nov. 3 in Abbotsford, B.C.
- Nov. 21-24 in Guelph, Ont.
- Dec. 5-8 in Banff/Canmore, Alta.
And the final qualifying teams to complete the field for the 16-team Mixed Doubles Trials will be the eight highest-ranked non-qualified teams on the Canadian Mixed Doubles Rankings as of Dec. 9.
Ticket package announcements for both the Canadian Curling Pre-Trials in Wolfville as well as the Canadian Curling Trials in Halifax will be made in late September in anticipation of an early October release. Information on all three events in Nova Scotia will be available at www.curling.ca/ROADTO2026.
The qualifying process for the four-player Trials was also announced last year, and has determined two women ’s and two men’s teams that will be competing in Halifax:

- Team Brad Gushue (St. John’s, N.L.)
