Original 16 Patch Party!

Canadian rock legends 54•40 kicking off Montana’s Brier on opening night
It’s only fitting that a band with B.C. roots — one of the most enduring and accomplished bands in Canadian rock music history — will help kick off the biggest national championship event in men’s curling in its home province.
54•40 will take the stage at the Original 16 Patch on the opening night of the 2025 Montana’s Brier, presented by AGI, on Feb. 28. The Original 16 Patch, located at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort Main Ballroom, is just a short walk from Prospera Place in Kelowna.
“54•40 is so excited to kick off the Montana’s Brier opening night with a concert in Kelowna,” said 54•40 founder Brad Merritt. “It’s going to be an amazing night of curling, community, and live music. Don’t miss it!”
The iconic B.C. band’s concert, which is being presented by Montana’s and Sentinel Storage, is scheduled to kick off at roughly 9:30 p.m., shortly after the conclusion of the 6:30 p.m. opening draw of the 2025 Montana’s Brier. Doors to the Original 16 Patch open at 5:30 p.m.
And here’s the even better news: admission is FREE, but entry to the Original 16 Patch will be subject to venue capacity, so plan to be there early to get a good spot in the crowd!
The band from Tsawwassen and Delta, just outside of Vancouver, has been rocking crowds for more than 40 years, putting out bangers such as, Ocean Pearl, I Go Blind, Nice to Luv You, She-La, Miss You and One Gun.
It’ll be a memorable way to kick off the nine-night party in the Original 16 Patch, as the Montana’s Brier makes its long-awaited return to Kelowna for the first time since 1968.
Ticket demand for the 2025 Montana’s Brier is reaching fever pitch, and this concert announcement will just add to it! Be sure to act quickly to get in on the fun at Prospera Place. CLICK HERE for the latest ticket information and offers.
